Show Time

Well I am extremely happy to say I made it through another bridal show..... Menifee Lakes Country Clubs(my work) annual showcase. It was amazing, happy, fun, somewhat freezing but luckily not pouring or snowing like I feared. Over all I was very pleased and so grateful to everyone who had a part in this day, all the vendors who made it possible, Marcella from Unique Weddings, my staff , a special thank you to Sara and Sky Couture for the fashion show and all the models that made the fashion show possible. Also I want to thank the brides and families that came to the show even though it was cold and raining most of the day! Here are just a few photos of the bridal showcase.

There is a lot of hard work that goes into planning a bridal show. Many of you probably knew about the show because I was plastering everything in sight with the bridal show info. Let's just say I am glad I won't be taking flyers, cards, and signs everywhere I go. It will be nice to have a backseat and trunk again.... Lol ok who am I kidding my trunk will always be a mess but at least I can fit my groceries in my trunk again.

Most of you probably read or got the many emails and facebook posts I put out. My favorite was the short video we put together to promote the show, if you didn't get a chance see it check it out the link is still on my facebook. I can't wait to put more videos together about everything! Let me say thank you for not "unfriending" me and I'll won't be updating and posting about the show daily....well at least not for another 7 1/2 months....the next show is less that 363 days away! You can sign up, I'm not kidding it will be February 25th 2012. So all you 2012 brides get excited!!!!!!

There is lot of "behind the scenes" work that goes into the show but for the most part I love it! It takes months of planning and many vendors spend long hours getting ready for the shows. Like stuffing the swag bags the brides get and by far my favorite part this year would have to be the amazing Menifee Lakes Country Club Bride bags, I wish more brides will get to leave with them very soon. I did get to give the newest December 10th Menifee Lakes Bride one(she booked at the show.) I can't wait to give out my next Menifee Lakes Country Club Bride Bag.

Little Daredevil

Sydney is such a little daredevil and I mean little. Sydney had her first trip to

and she was a fraction of an inch too small for some of the rides but over all she loved it.
I even tried to "puff up" her hair still no luck on the bumper cars...... Yes bumper cars, oh so scary.

She was tall enough for the dragon swing and enjoyed it all three times.

Her second favorite ride was probably the log ride because you get wet, I would recommend not going on it after any face painting it kinda runs right off but was well worth the enjoyment, $10 well spent to see her smiling face.

I on the other hand like the more relaxing rides, like the train and carousal. I did have quite an adventure locating my all time favorite thing at Knott's Berry Farm funnel cake!!!!!! A little advice on "off peak" days they only sell it at one location near the front gate but it was well worth the wait. It was a fun day for everyone,
Auntie Tarah

and Uncle Thomais

Matt, myself and Sydney

We decided to go on a Tuesday and I might I say was a great idea there were almost no lines at all! We were able to really see the whole park and not rush around because of this. Don't worry we brought home plenty of souvenirs since it was Sydney,Tarah and Thomais' first trip to Knott's Berry Farm. I would have been content with these two cute guys, especially since I won one myself only after much convincing, but they were only the beginning. Everyone loved the carnival games and we left with half a toy store and it only cost about $200, I don't know exactly but it was a lot and I would rather not know. At least we had something to show for all the cash put into it.
Five total plus Sydney's Snoopy cup.

I would also recommend Fridays right across the street it was the perfect way to end a long day at the park.

Thomais and Tarah's Trip 2011

Sydney has and amazing Auntie and Uncle, they flew all the way from England to spend the week with Sydney. Oh the adventures they had......it was a fun filled week but really the time flew by and she still(weeks later) can't stop talking about the next time they come to visit.

The first adventure as always was hit the mall and do a little shopping. We went to tyler mall since it was a little different for a change and had one special store we wanted to visit, Build A Bear Workshop. Sydney made a special "Miss you I love you" bear for Nana Wanda,

and of course made herself a special bear too.

The next two days are the last the last two posts, Valentines Day and Knott's Berry Farm. I had to work the rest of the week so it was mostly Tarah, Thomais and Sydney, with a little Matt and me sprinkled in. They got to ride the bus to the mall and watch a movie, riding the bus is always an exciting thing for Sydney since she never gets to, that alone would have been enough fun for her.

If it wasn't raining they were able to take Max for a walk, yet another favorite thing for Sydney. She loves getting out and doing just about anything, and since she is so full of energy this is a great thing to do. Plus you might notice Max is getting a little chubby so it is great for him as well.

My favorite photos(taken on Tarah's iPhone) would have to be from Johns Incredible Pizza. They are very artsy and fun I love them. From the loads of "gear" they left with I would say it was a pretty great afternoon, well day at "Pizza Games" and Sydney had to tell me the entire detailed day as soon as she got in the car. So I would say that is a sign it was a big hit for everyone.

I don't know for sure but I will take a wild guess Thomais was responsible for wining most of these tickets. When Sydney and I leave we normally have one small prize and the fact that Tarah's arms were loaded down with prizes makes me think Thomais helped a little.

Tarah was brave enough to take Sydney to get her ears pierced, something she has been thinking about for a while now. I wasn't able to there because I had to work but the photos were great at almost made me feel like I was there. I should also note the earrings are blue her favorite color. She has been really good and didn't really complain or pull at them.

Well the week came to an end too fast and we didn't get to spend nearly enough time together but I know Sydney will always cherish this week they spent together. I hope they are able to make this an annual event because she loved it. We have already be talking about the new adventures for when they come back, the beach, sea world and maybe San Diego wild animal park.

It was a whirlwind of a week and I should give a little credit to Tarah from taking all these photos......all on her iPhone which sad to say did not make it.

The phone was only about a week old, now being held together by tape. This being her second iPhone 4....... I think it's about her 7th iPhone it's tragic I know but don't worry she has a plan that includes replacement even if she breaks it. so by now she probably already in enjoying her brand-new iPhone. I think apple needs to pay her for finding so many ways to damage an iPhone and so close together, I am still on my first iPhone and only considering the upgrade to the iphone4 because I'm almost up for an upgrade.

You make me smile

One of my favorite songs and ringtones right now and would be the perfect way to describe Valentines Day 2011. Being that Valentines Day is a crazy big holiday in the wedding and dining industry I had to work, but since it fell on a Monday night and I have the most amazing assistant I got the night off! So I got to enjoy my day and spend time with my amazing boyfriend.

Auntie Tarah and Uncle Thomais where visiting for the week so Sydney got to stay home and relax with them all day. Tarah started off the day with a gifts which included a heart shaped pancake mold for Sydney which was followed by adorable "english" pancakes, I was already "working away" so I missed them but they were so cute.

Being that it was Valentines Day and all it was a very busy day for wedding inquires, as expected. I talked to quite a few soon to be grooms and very excited soon to be brides. My assistant was so great and even booked a wedding! Then of course the getting everything ready for the big Valentines Dinner. I was mostly responsible for last minute details and getting the centerpieces on the tables. I did get to enjoy the view of dozens of roses that became the centerpieces for all the tables. Not a bad view if I do say so myself. It smelled amazing in my office all day because of them. I got off "early" and headed home to chocolates and flowers from my boyfriend! He's so sweet, I insisted he not buy me flowers but he had to outdo himself with a great arrangement.

I was "crafty" filling a heart shaped candy box with sour and hard candy, since Matt is not a chocolate fan. Matt and I didn't have dinner reservations because I knew it would be a complete zoo out and not sure what time I would get off work so we just had a relaxing night. We drove around a little, did a little shopping (always fun) had some CPK pizza and I had a few chocolate martinis and strawberries. It was a great day over all and for the first time ever I am looking forward to next years Valentines Day, I hope it is filled with just as much love, laughter and amazing memories as this year.
