Kindergarten is SO last year

Well it's official Sydney is starting 1st grade. I saw this fun sign and had to print it and felt the need to start taking photos the moment I went into her room to wake her up. So let the photo shoot begin with a fun and memorable photo. Sydney decided it was a pretty nice sign and currently has it taped to her bedroom door.

It was pretty early possible the earliest I have ever had to get her up and dressed. It was 5:45am and she wanted just one more minute, and she couldn't have posed better with the sign I just happened to have on hand.

Breakfast was Rice Krispies, clearly she was still not awake and not loving being up this early.

She did finally smile for the camera when I told her it was time to wake up Auntie Cara. She loved that and of course found time to pet Max and bring her, always in hand "phone" which is my old iPhone which I semi-broke. The speaker broke so you can't use it to talk but works great for music, apps and trying to take silly photos.

I couldn't help but take a photo of her backpack all ready for the first day with her mini lunch packed inside, even thought she was going to buy lunch.

Sydney loves the big sign out front of her school and clearly all I need to do is tell her she can sit on it and her cute little smile pops right out. I defiantly need to remember to do this before school ever year. Please note how few cars are in the parking lot. We got to school a little early about 7:25 and class doesn't start till 7:40. So I had plenty of time to take a few photos.

Documenting how huge her backpack looks on her. I know it won't be much longer till her little backpack it full of homework and books but till then I love how cute and little it makes her look.

Well she wasn't to excited about photos opt location two right outside the gate so I opted for the backpack shot again since she wouldn't stand still. She was too busy trying to find her friends.

Standing in line on her class number, she wasn't quite sure if she would like it. I thought it was so cute the teacher rolled out a red carpet for them and even had a matching red carpet outside class so they would know where their new classroom was.

Walking into class with her new teacher Mrs. Freeman, I hope she loves every moment of her first day.

Well that's where all the photos stop, I pondered sneaking up to the window and watching through the window all day but another parent was already sneaking up to the best spot so I opted to head off to work at 7:40am..... Another first getting to work before 8:45. Hmmm I hope getting up this early gets easier. Well here's to a fabulous first day of first grade!
