Barnes & Noble Book Fair

Sydney's school had a book fair at Barnes & Noble and Sydney could not wait to go. They had teachers, parents and volunteers reading stories from about 6-8pm. The plan was to go early and slip out around 7:30 so we would be home by 8:30 since it was in Murrieta. As you can see Sydney was glued to every story. This was the librarian from Sydney's school reading a story.

She love, love, loved it and would have stayed all night if it keep going. She loved this story and snuck right up front for a front row seat.

Sydney's teacher Mrs. Freeman reading a story. It was a highlight for Sydney she got so excited and again glued to every word. I love that she loves story time.

Then they had Starbucks free samples, clearly trying to get parents to purchase drink and it was a great plan it worked pretty well. A perfect pick me up for the evening.

I checked out the wedding magazines while another parent keep and eye on Sydney and I feel good with my ad for work in the current wedding magazine, San Diego Style Weddings. It was defiantly one of the best magazines on the shelf. I did pick up a few Halloween magazines since it's just around the corner.

I found two gluten free cook books which were on sale so I went ahead and got them even though I don't know if it's gluten causing some of Sydney's "tummy issues."

We left with quite a few items that night about twice as much as I had planned on spending but all for a good cause, books and Sydney's school got a portion of the sales so how could I say no. I let Sydney pick out two books then I picked out two I thought would be nice, like the quiet book.

So it was defiantly worth the drive and I'm ok with staying till 8 when it ended because Sydney had such a great time. Don't worry Sydney was asleep by the time I pulled out of the parking lot and didn't even wake up when I carried her into bed. I then understood why they recommended wearing your favorite pjs, it is for the parents really to make life easier and just carry the kiddos in and slip them right into bed.

A simple sweet smile

So my plan was to take a quick photo of Sydney to use in one of my pinterest projects. Well Sydney could not have been sillier, I just wanted a simple smile and this is what I got

I call this smile till your eyes close

This is "whatever"

"Greer" "roar, I'm scary"

Followed by teal nail polish close up

" look, no really look........got'cha" Sydney's new favorite thing

" alright" ..... something tells me cheerleading is going to be perfect for her

There it is a simple sweet smile

Here is the finished project. First grade favorites. I love how it turned out and will hopefully remember to do this at least once a year.
